“Loved Everything. Proximity to the town. Gareth and Nicky are lovely people. Very welcoming. The room was comfortable and cosy. Everything we needed or wanted was there for us to enjoy. The breakfast was outstanding. Gareth knows how to cook an egg!! What a range from cereal to hot cross buns to a full English breakfast what ever you fancied it was there for you!!. Unlimited coffee was very welcoming too”

“Friendly environment – no ask was too big for the hosts! Very helpful with advice on what to do across the Lake District, trails, etc. Would recommend to anyone looking for a short, affordable stay in Windermere. Cosy and comfortable, close to restaurants, local shops and transport links (bus and train) – all around excellent value for money!”

“The garden was beautiful and welcoming to walk through towards the front door as we got there, and they provided a walkthrough up to our room and inside and not just the usual handing of the keys and leaving us at the threshold. There wasn’t any curfew for coming back at any particular time which gave us a lot of time to get back from whatever day trip we were on. The owners of the B&B are so welcoming, take my word, and were always keen to go the extra mile to help us feel at home there. Breakfast was nice to come downstairs to reach morning as there was an effort made to place each person at tables where conversation would be stoked best, not something to be frightened about as it gave me and my partner a chance to mix with the other lodgers. Please choose to stay here as the people are lovely and the building has a warm, old world charm that you cannot go wrong with”

“Set in a quiet, peaceful location in Windermere, 5 mins walk from the high street. I loved the place from the moment I looked at it. Very quaint and English in its look, with flowers adorning the entrance with a lovely and cosy feel on the inside. The owners, Nikki and Gareth, made us feel very welcome – as if we were their family visiting. We had some great chats and they looked after us well, making us feel we were genuinely being cared for. Nikki is a keen hiker, so when she found out I was going to be hiking, she provided my friend and I with an emergency bivvy bag and even gave us a couple of flasks with tea & coffee in hot flasks to carry along for our hike to Scafell Pike! We stayed in the triple room, which had a double and a single bed. Both were very comfortable and I must mention I’m quite fussy when it comes to pillows – but even I was quite impressed! Bathroom size was good and shower facilities were in good working order. Plenty of storage space in the room as well and no noise issues at night. You will truly have an enjoyable stay here!”
